We know a lot of you have been waiting all year for this moment. Ski & snowboarding season is upon us! It's time to get outside, hit the slopes and get some good ol' fresh air. Here's a breakdown of most of the closest resorts, what they're offering and what you can expect when it comes to precautions and tickets.

Season Dates: Nov - May 2026
Distance From Denver: About 1 hour, 15 minutes
What You’ll Find There: Arapahoe Basin packs 1,400+ skiable acres, Colorado’s most challenging in-bounds terrain, and a laid-back, home-grown vibe into one legendary mountain. With the state’s longest winter season, plenty of room on the slopes, and always a seat waiting at the bar, A-Basin keeps things focused on quality over crowds. Keep in mind, terrain is intermediate (mountain-blue) and above at this time.

Season Dates: Nov 27 - Apr 12
Distance From Denver: About 3 hours, 30 minutes
What You'll Find There: Aspen has four different experiences to choose from, each offering its own assortment of options to dive into like terrain parks, tubing, trails, and, of course, huge slopes. You can’t go wrong with any of these spots.

Season Dates: TBD 25/26 Season
Distance From Denver: About 1 hour
What You’ll Find There: While Echo Mountain is a bit on the smaller side, it has plenty to do. It is a mostly intermediate mountain, so while beginners are welcome, it’s important to note going in. There’s some terrain to hit as well as snow tubing.
Lift Costs: $50+ for single-day passes, $129+ for season passes. It's recommended that tickets be purchased online ahead of time. Purchase here.

Season Dates: TBD 25/26 Season
Distance From Denver: About 1 hour, 15 minutes
What You'll Find There: You’ll find cross-country skiing as well as slopes at Eldora. There are Woodward parks for those who want to get into some terrain, as well as double black diamonds for advanced riders.

What You'll Find There: Large slopes as well as two different parks (Haymeadow and Red Buffalo) perfect for families and new riders to learn on.

Distance From Denver: About 1 hour, 30 minutes
What You'll Find There: One of the biggest mountains and resorts around. There are massive slopes and terrain parks to keep you busy for as long as your trip lasts.

Distance From Denver: About 1 hour, 20 minutes
What You'll Find There: Hit the slopes or take on the hill with some snow tubing. You can also get into some snow biking and snowshoe tours around the resort.

What You'll Find There: Another one of the top resorts around, the mountain is huge and has a ton to choose from. Slopes, terrain parks, tubing, trails and more!

Distance From Denver: About 1 hour, 20 minutes
What You'll Find There: Keystone is home to the Bergman Bowl which features 40 acres of gladded terrain, highspeed chair lights and plenty of trails. This is on top of the usual slopes, parks and more. Plus, there’s night riding!

What You'll Find There: Loveland features 9 lifts serving 1,800 acres of terrain and trails. You’ll also find a terrain park for all level of riders!
