Wax Trax Records

200 S. Broadway - Baker


Wax Trax was originally founded by Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher in 1975. The 80s and 90s saw the expansion of their music selection, eventually establishing it as one of the most notable record stores in the city. Since then, its been bringing the best in independent music to Colorado. They opened a new location in November, sharing space in Broadway Bazaar in Baker so you can get your vintage and vinyl all under one very cool roof.

Twist & Shout Records

Since its inception in 1988, Twist & Shout has been a vital part of the Denver music scene. With a variety of music selections and live shows, it has become a must-visit destination for locals and tourists. Come for the Vinyl, stay for the vibes.

Recollect Records

1255 Delaware St. - Golden Triangle


Recollect Records has a great atmosphere and cool selection for collectors and DJs alike! It's got limited hours Thursday through Sunday from 12-5 p.m., so stop by this weekend and be sure to grab some merch to help support the Recollect team members.

Mutiny Information Cafe

3483 S. Broadway - Englewood


Mutiny Information Cafe is a used bookstore with a coffee bar, comic book shop, record store, pinball, and live events...wow that's a mouthful! As far as records go, you’ll find a wide variety of punk, heavy metal, grunge, alternative, “college radio” and hip-hop. It also has a few guilty pleasures and unique choices for collectors.

If you're looking for punk and metal records in particular, then you can't go wrong with Chain Reaction Records. Family-owned and operated since 2014, this shop offers records, CDs, cassettes, shirts books, and even has a skate shop inside! Come on, that's just too cool.

Arvada's Black & Read offers music, books, and games, so we have to warn you: though you may come searching just for records, you may leave with a lot more. That's not really a bad thing though, is it? We don't think so at least.
